FAQ's
Does it cost anything to work with Jackson Barnes Recruitment as a candidate?
No. Jackson Barnes Recruitment never charges candidates. Our fees are paid by the hiring company.
How do I apply for a job with Jackson Barnes Recruitment?
Apply directly through any advert on our Search jobs page, or register a profile and upload your CV. If nothing live fits, send your CV to helen@jbrecruitment.co.uk and we will call you to talk about what you want next.
Will you send my CV anywhere without my permission?
No. We will always talk to you about a role and the company before your CV is shared, and we will only send it with your agreement.
Why don't your job adverts name the company?
Many of our clients are hiring confidentially, so adverts describe the business, events and team without naming it. Every advert on our site includes a salary, and we will tell you who the client is once we have spoken and you are interested.
What happens after I apply?
If your experience fits, a consultant will call you to understand your background, motivations and salary expectations. We then talk you through suitable roles, prepare you for each interview and give you honest feedback at every stage.
Can you help me prepare for interviews?
Yes. Every candidate we put forward receives a preparation brief covering the company, the interviewers, the interview format and the questions to expect, plus a call before and after each stage.
Can Jackson Barnes Recruitment help me find a hybrid, remote or part time role?
Yes. We regularly recruit hybrid, remote and part time roles in B2B events, including flexible roles for parents returning to work. We work with employers who offer genuine flexibility, and we will be honest about what is realistic for your level and discipline.
How do I move from a B2C or agency events role into B2B events?
Many skills transfer, especially in operations, marketing and sales. B2B organisers look for commercial awareness, an understanding of business audiences and proof you can hit targets or deadlines. We can tell you which of your experience will matter most and which employers are open to it.
Do you have B2B events jobs for language speakers?
Yes. We regularly recruit Spanish, Portuguese, French and German speakers for production, sales and operations roles, including roles based in Madrid and London that cover Latin American and European markets.
Do you have a referral scheme?
Yes. If you refer someone in B2B events who we go on to place, you can receive a reward. See our Refer a friend page for details.
I am not looking right now. Is it still worth speaking to you?
Yes. The best career moves are often planned well before you need them. We are happy to give advice on salary, progression and market trends, and to keep you in mind for the right opportunity.
