The Company

You are applying for a Conference Producer job within a leading international media & events business. This company has been creating and delivering inspirational B2B Conferences & Exhibitions for many years. Their UK office is based in Twickenham and the team are looking forward to welcoming a new conference producer into the business.


The Role

As a Conference Producer you will take responsibility for researching, producing and project managing your own portfolio of B2B Conferences. These events generate revenue via ticket sales and through the sale of sponsorship & exhibition opportunities. Your role as the Conference Producer is to create the event for the sales team to sell, the marketing team to market and the event managers to arrange: Your role will include:

  • Topic & speaker research – over the phone, face to face meetings and at events
  • Create the agenda for your events – develop an engaging programme which attracts a paying audience of business professionals and corporate sponsors / exhibitors
  • Research, contact and recruit high level speakers to talk at your event – big industry names
  • Creation of a marketing & sales strategy – to ensure the event meets commercial targets
  • Project manage the events within your portfolio – meet deadlines & work within budget
  • Work with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the event is successful
  • Attend the event on the day – sort issues/problems, liaise with sponsors, speakers, delegates and the onsite team to ensure the event runs smoothly
  • Develop & improve your events year on year and identify new event launch opportunities


Conference Producers work alongside the sales, marketing & operations teams to ensure the event achieves its goals and meets the needs of the audience and sponsors. The role will be supported by a positive and welcoming team. Some travel may be required.


The Person

  • This role will suit a bright, ambitious and commercially-minded graduate who enjoys researching, communicating and organising.
  • Ideally, you will have 6-12 months commercial business experience i.e. marketing exec, market research, recruitment consultant, B2B sales etc..
  • You will have excellent written & spoken English communication skills and really enjoy writing!
  • Have excellent research & analysis skills
  • You will be organised, have excellent time management and produce quality events within the agreed time lines.
  • Able to stay calm and work well when under pressure
  • This job has lots of face to face interaction with internal and external contacts - you will need to enjoy and be confident networking and presenting.
  • You will be disciplined to plan, organise and complete your desk based research.
  • A flair for articulate and creative writing is essential in this job
