This is a great opportunity to join a market leading global B2B events company and develop your career in the production of large scale conferences & exhibitions held in the UK and overseas.

 

Our client produces B2B conferences for a number of different industries, the events are held all around the world and they attract a senior audience of business professionals, high level speakers and global sponsors.

 

We are recruiting an additional Conference Producer to join their successful & established life science conference production team in the London office.

 

The role

As a Conference Producer you will be responsible for in-depth desk based research with leading industry experts to uncover the latest trends & emerging areas within the life science sector. You will ensure the event agendas remain at the cutting-edge of the industry. Coupled with this, your role will revolve around the acquisition of the industry’s key thought leaders.

 

In addition to the core role of event research and speaker acquisition, you be responsible for:

  • Identifying new topics and opportunities for growth within the life science event portfolio
  • Developing and applying innovative formats and event ideas to improve the onsite event experience for speakers, sponsors and delegates
  • Working closely with sponsorship sales to provide industry insight and support their search for the best sponsors
  • Continuously expanding your professional network with industry leaders
  • Writing commercial marketing material to reflect the benefits and features of the event to draw in potential sponsors and attendees
  • Identifying & securing high level speakers
  • Attend the event - international & UK locations
  • Identifying opportunity for new events to be created

The person

  • To be considered for this position you will be educated to degree level – with a degree in bio science or a related life science subject
  • You will have some commercial business experience, possibly gained in the recruitment, media, events industry
  • You will have the ability and passion to research new information, analyse and communicate the details to the relevant business community.
  • This role will have both face to face interaction with internal and external contacts and lots of phone based communication therefore you need to enjoy and be confident interacting & communicating with others.
  • You need to be strong at planning & organising plus be experienced at achieving deadlines.
  • This role would suit a creative, motivated and resourceful conference producer who wants challenge and autonomy in their next production opportunity.
  • You will have excellent time management, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Hard working team player with attention to detail and be commercially minded with great business acumen.
  • Happy to travel as part of your job
