Based in London + Overseas Travel

Base salary up to £27K + OTE £35K + Benefits

 

As a Conference Producer in this company you will be responsible for creating & project managing B2B conferences & events from initial topic research through to delivery on the day. This position involves overseas travel and required strong team working skills.

The role

As a conference producer you will research, create, produce and manage large B2B events. These events will have a number of elements such as; pay to attend conference, networking opportunities, workshops, breakfast briefings, exhibition, etc. You could have anything from 300-2000 business professionals attending your events. Conference producer take’s responsibility for managing the entire event project from initial topic research to smooth running of the event on the day. Supported by experienced professionals from your marketing, sales & operations teams and of course great managers from within the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Market research & analysis – identify the best possible topics for your event & develop your market knowledge
  • Speaker recruitment – identify, contact & secure the best possible & high level speakers
  • Creating opportunity - Identifying business growth opportunities for the event
  • Targets – achieving the event goals within agreed deadlines
  • Relationship management - Identify & manage strategic business partnerships
  • Develop & deliver marketing strategy (web, brochures, email etc) with the marketing team
  • Project management of your event, ensure internal & external stakeholders are on board
  • Create reports and keep CRM updated
  • To work collaboratively with the wider events team and external contacts

 

The person

You will be a graduate with 12 months+ commercial B2B work experience looking to join an ambitious and entrepreneurial conference & events business.

 

Key experience/skills:

  • 2:1 or 1st degree
  • 12 months + commercial business experience where you have researched, consulted and provided solutions. Ideal backgrounds include recruitment consultant, delegate sales, IT/media sales, B2B marketing etc…
  • Research, analysis and organisation of large quantities of information
  • Telephone based communication skills where you have spoken confidently with business professionals.
  • Written communication skills to support you with the marketing & copy writing element of the job
  • Time management & organisational skills – to help you achieve deadlines & targets
  • Project management skills to assist you managing all the elements of the events
  • A positive, ambitious, hard working, self starter with excellent communication skills
  • Confident and enjoy talking to new business professionals over the phone & face to face
