The Conference Producer is responsible for creating & project managing international conferences from initial research through to delivery on the day.

The role

This conference producer role is slightly broader than others, here you will take responsibility for 2 large scale energy related events initially and be responsible for the entire project from research, content, marketing, logistics and sales associated with your conferences. You will have total ownership (with support) to project manage the entire lifecycle of the event.

Key responsibilities:

  • Research – desk based & primary research
  • Business Development - Identifying business growth opportunities
  • Working to time & financial targets throughout the lifecycle of the event
  • Identify & manage strategic business partnerships
  • Develop & deliver marketing strategy (web, brochures, email etc)
  • Liaise with writers, designers and other professionals supporting your project
  • Analysis of information
  • Project management
  • Create reports
  • To work as part of the team


The person

You will be a graduate with 12-24 months commercial B2B sales experience looking to join an ambitious and entrepreneurial events business and grow your skills across marketing, operations, research in a commercial environment. Here you can grow your career as the business develops and work alongside the management team to contribute to the overall expansion of the business.

Key experience/skills:

  • 2:1 or 1st degree
  • 12-24 months commercial business experience & solution sales background such as: recruitment, delegate sales or estate agency perhaps
  • Marketing & copy writing experience
  • Ability to work to deadlines & targets
  • Sales of sponsorship / delegate packages when required
  • Research skills
  • Project management skills gained in a business environment
  • Positive, hard working, self starter and excellent communication skills
  • Confident and happy talking to new business professionals over the phone & face to face
