Basic salary up to £40K + Generous Uncapped Commission

Based in London + Overseas Travel


Opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Sponsorship Sales professional to join a growing international conference & events business. This company have a mature, innovative and team orientated culture. We are looking for an engaging, credible and successful Sponsorship Sales professional who enjoys account development, finding new business, networking and making sales. This role offers the opportunity to manage & develop sales strategy and deliver sales revenue for a growing portfolio of life science conferences.


This Sponsorship Sales manager job offers the opportunity to:

  • Sell sponsorship for industry leading high profile events, smaller niche meetings and launch events
  • Manage and develop relationships with existing and new corporate clients
  • Develop & deliver a sales strategy to enable you to maximise the potential of the event and meet/exceed your sales targets
  • Sell sponsorship opportunities for a growing portfolio of events in an evolving global market
  • International travel for meetings & to attend events
  • Earn Uncapped Commission on all you sell

The job


You will be responsible for selling high value sponsorship opportunities & exhibition space at a leading life science conferences and events. The events are growing year on year and offer huge potential for future development, the content & formats are very impressive.


Your role will include responsibility for: managing existing clients who have sponsored before, developing these accounts and securing sponsorship revenue from new businesses.


You will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the market place via research, networking and securing / conducting meetings with key players in the industry.


You will attend events & meetings to develop your network and client base.


You will be responsible for creating the strategy for sales, working closely with production & marketing who will support you with leads, material etc…


The person                                                                                                           

  • Educated to degree level
  • 2 years+ commercial sponsorship & exhibition sales experience gained in a commercial events environment. We need someone to hit the ground running.
  • Proven ability to sell consultatively (SPIN training a bonus), rebook clients, upsell
  • Confident managing F2F meetings with senior executives
  • Confident managing clients at events on-site – travel required.
  • Use of CRM system
  • Topic knowledge is not required but an interest in the life science, pharma, health community would be beneficial
  • Your experience will include the ability to effectively research, develop new business, manage accounts
  • Ability to understand and assess client business needs and develop creative solutions to meet their needs
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, time management and communication skills 
  • You will be used to working to targets, deadlines and work as part of a collaborative team.
