Great opportunity for a graduate with sales experience & fluency in English & Spanish to join a global events company

This global events business has been successfully creating conferences, exhibitions and business events for many years. They are experts at delivering successful business events across different industry sectors, formats and countries. They are currently recruiting an experienced B2B sales professional to join their established energy events team to sell delegate passes to the events.

 

This Delegate Sales Executive will be part of a successful energy events team who create; conferences, exhibitions, networking events and industry reports for the south american energy community. This is an exciting time for an enthusiastic, committed and an innovative sales professional to join the business.

 

The job

As a Delegate Sales Executive you will be confident in your ability to develop business relationships across a diverse group of companies from around the world. You will be tasked with making high volume outgoing calls to achieve revenue targets across new business and long-standing client base. Responsibilities include:

  • Selling delegate passes over the phone to existing and new clients for south American energy events
  • Achieving & exceeding realistic sales revenue targets
  • Creating, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients through a consultative sales approach and by clearly demonstrating the value of attending events
  • Continually developing your knowledge of the market 
  • Identifying and researching new growth areas for sales
  • Up-sell to existing delegates and referred clients
  • Keep the database (Salesforce) updated
  • Up-sell additional delegate places to sponsors and exhibitors
  • Attract new business revenues where possible
  • Ensure you are able to keep the team updated with information & figures at all times
  • Attending events and functions when required (overseas travel may be required)
  • Working in a professional, collaborative and positive way at all times

 

The person

  • You will be a graduate with a 2:1 or 1st degree looking to develop a career in sales within the commercial events industry
  • Languages required: First class English (written & oral) and business level fluency in Spanish (written & oral)
  • Experience working in the events industry and selling delegate spaces is ideal, however we can consider a graduate who has worked in a similar high volume & fast paced sales environment such as; media/event sales, recruitment, IT sales etc
  • You must be able to demonstrate strong sales skills, an understanding of the sales cycle process and a track record for achieving targets
  • Able to develop business leads through primary and secondary research
  • Ability to prioritise leads and maximise revenue generation
  • Quickly build rapport with clients and develop long term business relationships
  • Commercially minded with a natural ability to spot an opportunity
  • Experience of using databases systems; particularly Salesforce would be advantageous
  • Supportive team player
  • Enthusiasm, commitment to the role, and pro-activity
  • Professional and persuasive outlook and telephone manner
