New job opportunity for an experienced B2B sales executive to join a

young FinTech Events company.

This young and ambitious events business is enjoying its second year of trading. They have already successfully delivered industry leading, highly innovative large scale events and a series of smaller bespoke conferences. This is an exciting time to join the business, with the flagship event up and running, new launch events prepared for 2019/2020 you can excel your sales career within a growing team.

 

The Business Development Executive job:

Working as part of the sales team together you will generate revenue across a series of large scale events which attract between 500-1500 attendees and a broad range of corporate sponsors plus smaller niche events created to meet specific client needs. The Business Development Executive will work alongside 2 experienced event sales professionals to drive revenue across the events.

  • The aim of this role is to identify & research new businesses who may benefit from sponsoring, exhibiting or attending one of the events.
  • You will generate leads and start to build relationships with new clients and pitch the best possible solution to promote their business or attend the events.
  • You will be expected to be on the phone a lot, out at meetings (with support if needed) and attending events
  • Responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the market place via research, networking and securing / conducting meetings with key players in the industry.
  • Work to agreed targets for each event and manage your sales pipeline autonomously

The ideal candidate

  • A smart, bright and ambitious professional
  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • An excellent sales person - Ideally you will have spent 6 months plus in a sales position such as: recruitment, IT sales, ad sales or sponsorship sales, etc…
  • Strong research, telephone & face to face communication skills
  • Able to identify new contacts and use your initiative to generate your own leads
  • Ambitious, articulate, and able to write
  • You will need to be presentable and confident in client meetings
  • Organised, self motivated and excellent time management
  • Will be looking to grow their career with an expanding events company
  • Happy working in a small & growing team
  • Able to attend events & travel if required
