This B2B Events business will shortly be celebrating its 6 year anniversary, having grown from a small start up into a well established and respected events company running technology conferences across the UK, Europe and America.

 

This is not an events agency. These guys design and run their own conferences – everything from coming up with a concept to researching the market, programming the content, inviting the speakers, building the website, selling the tickets and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day!

 

The Job

This newly created Sponsorship Sales Executive role will support the Sponsorship Manager across the growing portfolio of international technology conferences ranging from 150 to 1000+ people. The Sponsorship Sales Executive will play a key role in the growth of sponsors and the business as a whole, you will work very closely with the Sponsorship Manager to bring in and build on new and existing business. The role will be varied, fast paced and very rewarding.

 

You will work closely with a great team of ambitious individuals who work hard together but also have a lot of fun along the way. As a fully collaborative team you will gain insight into the whole events cycle from creation, marketing to delivery.

 

Main responsibilities for the Sponsorship Sales Executive:

  • Generate sponsorship leads through research, cold calling, email marketing and sourcing via various other channels
  • In-depth research into the communities and locations where conferences are held and the businesses that could be potential sponsors
  • Be active on social media as a way to research and generate new leads
  • Develop, maintain and expand relationships with clients across the global technology industry
  • Build your own portfolio of clients, leading to future account management opportunities
  • Contribute innovative and creative ideas to build exciting packages for our sponsors
  • Manage Salesforce, keeping it up to date and tracking sales activity
  • Support clients on-site at conferences to help deliver outstanding client satisfaction
  • Provide input into sponsorship and marketing collateral, working closely with the Marketing Team and the wider organisation
  • General sponsorship administration

 

The Person

It would be ideal if you had at least one year of sales experience and some experience in the events industry but this is not a requirement. For this Sponsorship Sales Executive role, we are more interested in your skills and mindset than in your specific education and experience. The job would suit a recent marketing or events management graduate, but we don’t require you to have a degree, nor do you need to have prior events experience.
