Basic salary up to £27k + Uncapped Commission


An entry level sales position for a bright graduate to sell exhibition & sponsorship opportunities for a series of large scale life science conferences & exhibitions.


Exciting opportunity to join a global events company. This conference and exhibitions business have established a successful network of international offices over the past 20 years. They create insightful B2B events across a multitude of sectors including; finance, tech, energy, life science.

Currently hiring an additional Business Development Executive to join the life science conference team in London. This is an entry level sales opportunity suitable for a graduate with or without sales experience but who has lots of confidence & energy to make things happen. We are looking for an engaging and credible professional who enjoys networking and making sales.


The role

  • The aim of this Business Development Executive position is to build relationships with businesses and identify & deliver the best possible sponsorship & exhibition opportunities available for them at your events
  • You will be expected to be on the phone a lot and attend meetings
  • You will be selling high value sponsorship and exhibition space (or a combination of both) at life science events.
  • You will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the market place via research, networking and securing / conducting meetings with key players in the industry.
  • You will work to agreed targets for each event and manage your sales pipeline autonomously
  • Join a team with a great working environment which offers plenty of opportunities
  • This position will report into an experienced & successful director who will support, guide and work with you.


The ideal candidate

  • A graduate with a 2:1 or a 1st degree and focused to develop a sales career in the events industry
  • An excellent sales person - Ideally you will have spent 6-18 months in recruitment, IT sales, ad sales or delegate / sponsorship sales environment
  • Quick starter – able to identify new contacts and use your initiative to generate your own leads
  • Ambitious, articulate, and able to write
  • You will need to be presentable and confident enough to manage meetings with high profile corporate organisations
  • Organised, self motivated and excellent time management
  • Will be looking to grow their career with the company
  • Experience with Salesforce advantageous
