Based in City, London

Base salary between £25-30k + Commission OTE 60k+

 

We are looking for an experienced B2B sales professional with 1-2 years in recruitment, IT sales, media sales or delegate sales who wants to step into a B2B sales position within the international events industry.  

Our global media & events client are looking to hire an experienced Business Development Executive into their exciting digital media & events business.

 

The job

This is a key position within the sponsorship sales team, you will be responsible for growing revenue across a growing portfolio of events.

You will work with clients to increase their credibility in the market, drive brand awareness and visibility, connect them with C level clients and increase their sales pipeline.

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing business relationships - research, identify and close business with new clients
  • Maximising revenue from current and previous sponsors
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of your market
  • Cross selling across events & media products
  • Communicating, building and maintaining relationships with senior level decision makers
  • Building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of qualified leads/business
  • Organising and managing your time effectively
  • Planning and prioritising your work
  • Picking up the phone and making things happen – the role involves mostly phone based sales with some face to face selling
  • Accurate reporting & forecasting
  • Achieving revenue targets within the agreed time lines for each event
  • Identifying new opportunities for revenue generation and continually looking for ways to  improved or refine products.

 

The person

For this Business Development Executive position we are looking for a professionals who is focused on developing a long term consultative sales career with an exciting media & events business. Your experience will include:

  • Degree level or equivalent qualifications.
  • 1-2 years’ experience preferably working in delegate sales, sponsorship sales, recruitment, a start-up environment in the tech sector.
  • Experienced & strong sales technique and knowledge of the sales process
  • Confident and effective researching and presenting ideas
  • Excellent written & spoken communication skills
  • Good time management & organisation skills
  • Confident and credible in person and over the telephone
  • Tenacious and determined in achieving objectives
  • Real commercial awareness
  • Enthusiastic to learn & ambitious to succeed
