Basic Salary £25,000 + Profit Share


This is a great first step into a conference producer position with an established, international commercial events company. This position will be based in the London office; where they have a successful history of training & developing graduates to become fabulous conference producers & managers.


The Role

This is a varied and fast paced conference producer position. Working in a successful team of producers you will take responsibility for:

  • Research - over the phone, face to face and through reading relevant industry material. You will be required to develop understanding of the industry your event cover, identifying the issues/challenges/hot topics within the industry which will assist you in creating the best possible content for your conference
  • Create the conference agenda – working out how the programme should flow
  • Speaker acquisition – this involves research to identify the best possible professionals to speak at you event and confirming their attendance.
  • Work with the team to create a marketing & sales strategy to enhance the success of the event
  • You will take responsibility for project managing elements of an event or the entire event
  • Working with internal teams and external contacts
  • Be present onsite on the day to manage issues, meet professionals and support the team
  • You will be constantly looking at opportunities to develop existing events in terms of content, format and speakers plus work on well researched ideas for new conferences


Conference Producers work alongside the sales, marketing & operations teams to ensure the event achieves its goals and meets the needs of the audience and sponsors. The role will be supported by a positive and welcoming team. Some overseas travel may be required.


The person

  • Commercially focused Graduate with a 1st or 2:1 degree
  • Great business acumen and understanding of commercial business, ideally you will have had 6 months + experience working in a commercial business
  • Excellent research skills- desk, phone and face to face
  • Strong & confident analysing & communicating information
  • Excellent creative writing skills – ability to spot great & relevant information
  • Project management skills - You need to able to successfully plan & organise
  • Able to meet deadlines and targets
  • Team orientated but equally as strong working independently
  • As a bright & conscientious graduate it is really important you are able to take responsibility for the tasks you are set; work in a mature & professional manner and not be afraid to ask questions.
  • Interested in business


For this job we are not looking for event managers but event producers- people who really enjoy researching new topics, picking up the phone to talk with senior business professionals and discussing what is happening in the industry.
