Based in Central London

Basic Salary up to £25K + Year 1 OTE £35K+ & Benefits

 

This position would suit an ambitious graduate with 6-12 months sales experience looking to join an international events & media business. Our client creates & delivers industry leading large scale events & awards ceremonies for the telecoms industry.

 

As the Business Development Executive, you will focus on securing sponsorship opportunities & exhibition stand sales for the large scale telecoms events held in London. These events have over 150 speakers, 50+ sponsors and 800+ attendees, the numbers grow year on year.

 

The role: The Business Development Executive is responsible for:

  • Developing business relationships - research, identify and close business with new clients
  • Maximising revenue from current and previous sponsors & exhibitors
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of your market
  • Communicating, building and maintaining strong relationships with senior level decision makers
  • Building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of qualified leads/business
  • Organising and managing your time effectively
  • Planning and prioritising your work
  • Picking up the phone and making things happen – the role involves mostly phone based sales with some face to face selling (you are encouraged to book client meetings)
  • Accurate reporting & forecasting
  • Achieving revenue targets within the agreed time lines for each event
  • Work as part of the wider events team, updating and informing your colleagues of your progress and sharing relevant insight. This is very much a supportive team environment.

 

 

The person:

To be considered for this Business Development Executive position you will be a graduate with a 2:1 degree and have relevant and transferable sales & business development experience (recruitment. Media sales, IT sales etc).

 

You will need an interest in business & the evolving world of telecoms.

 

It is essential you are confident and motivated to pick up the phone to potential senior level clients and develop business.
