This is a great opportunity to join a global B2B events business and work on large-scale industry leading life science conference & events. 


Our client has been creating & delivering International business conferences for many years. They produce conferences across a multitude of industry sectors, locations and with varied event formats. The events attract a very senior audience, high level speakers and global sponsors - highlighting the prestige and quality of their portfolio.


They are recruiting an experienced Conference Producer to join their high growth life science conference production team in London. This is a new role, created to assist with the development of existing events and launch of new conferences.


The role

As a Conference Producer you will be responsible for in-depth research with leading industry experts to uncover the latest trends & emerging areas within the life science sector. You will ensure the agendas for the events remain at the cutting-edge of the industry. Coupled with this, your role will revolve around the acquisition of the industry’s key thought leaders.


In addition to the core role of event research and speaker acquisition, you be responsible for:

  • Constantly looking for new topics and opportunities for growth within the life science event portfolio
  • Developing and applying innovative formats and event ideas to improve the onsite event experience for speakers, sponsors and delegates
  • Working closely with sponsorship sales to provide industry insight from the end user market to drive profitability of the series
  • Building networks and followings with industry leaders to aid with the buy-in, promotion and expand the community your focus on
  • Writing commercial marketing material to reflect the benefits and features of the event to draw in potential sponsors and attendees
  • Identifying & securing high level speakers
  • Attend the event - international & UK locations

The person

  • To be considered for this position you will be educated to degree level – ideally with a degree in bio science or a related life science subject. You will need an interest in these topics.
  • You will have at least 12 months conference production experience
  • You will have the ability to research new information, analyse and communicate the details to the relevant business community.
  • This role will have both face to face interaction with internal and external contacts and lots of phone based communication therefore you need to enjoy and be confident interacting & communicating with others.
  • You need to be strong at planning & organising plus be experienced at achieving deadlines.
  • This role would suit a creative, motivated and resourceful conference producer who wants challenge and autonomy in their next production opportunity.
  • You will have excellent time management, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Hard working team player with attention to detail and be commercially minded with great business acumen.
  • Happy to travel as part of your job
