Basic salary up to £30K + OTE £65K+ (Uncapped commissions)

Based in central London + International Travel

This position would suit a confident sales professional from a consultative B2B Sales background such as; recruitment, media sales, IT sales who is looking to continue their sales career in the events industry.

The opportunity

You will be joining an established market leading international events and membership business who provide information to the financial sector through; events, online publications, white papers etc

The sponsorship sales executive role balances individual event sales with long-term strategic commercial development. The key element of this role is securing sponsorship revenue via the phone and through face-to-face contact with both new and existing clients, internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue through sponsorship sales for a portfolio of high profile events. These events are held in the UK and overseas.
  • Selling in a consultative & professional manner to key decision makers / C level contacts in corporate organisations.
  • Working with an established brand and benefit from a strong database of existing contacts and be encouraged to source new clients
  • Develop and maintain long-term business relationships with new and existing clients on a global basis
  • Identify and capitalise on new opportunities to generate revenue at the events
  • Work with a successful team to achieve and exceed your revenue targets

 

Your Experience

You will be passionate about developing your sales career, focused on developing business and selling high value solutions in the events industry.

  • You will have gained at least 1-2 years commercial business to business sales experience, ideally recruitment, IT sales, media sales or events sales background.
  • Your experience will include the ability to effectively research, develop new business, manage & grow client accounts.
  • Excellent communication skills - both over the phone and face to face
  • Ability to understand and assess client business needs and be able to develop creative solutions to meet their needs
  • You will be used to working to targets, deadlines and work as part of a team
  • Ambitious, articulate and creative
  • Good working knowledge of sales, the sales process and business development
  • Excellent work ethic and resilience
  • Ability to build relationships with senior level external partners
  • Strong business acumen
